Weddings/Showers

This was a wedding cake for a friend of the family. We made jumbo cupcakes instead of the normal sized ones. The flavors alternated with white and chocolate; however, the top tier of the cake was carrot cake filled with cream cheese frosting. The cupcakes were also filled. The vanilla ones were filled with strawberry and the chocolate ones were filled with chocolate mousse. Also, a third the cupcakes were topped with Godiva chocolate squares, chocolate sprinkles and turquoise daisies. Our display is actually a 6' tree, but we used half of it to make it a tabletop tree. Congratulations again Matt and Val!
Love. This cake was made with it! This was my (Bradene) bridal shower cake. I actually did not help with this cake, my mom (Cindi) made it. We had found some similar ideas and wanted to incorporate the damask design into the cake, since it was a part of the wedding. It was a very special cake to me and I was incredibly happy to share it with the ones that I love!
More Godiva! This was is a wedding cake made for friends of ours from church. The cake is two flavors, carrot cake and red velvet both with cream cheese filling and butter cream frosting. On top of the cake are Godiva truffles. Mmm. We also made jumbo cupcakes along with the cake. Everyone loved the cakes and we were excited to be part of their very special day! Congratulations again Karie and Brian!

This was a lovely bridal shower cake. It was a marble cake and white buttercream frosting. The top had a cluster of flowers. Our favorites are the fantasy flower. Along with the cake, we made cupcakes that were both white and chocolate with white buttercream and topped with a flower. The display table provided looked beautiful and everything came together. Congratulations Angie and Chris!

Unorganized

I would like to apologize for how unorganized and messy our blog is right now. We are going to be working on categorizing the pictures into birthdays, holidays, wedding, special events etc. For the time being, we are just uploading some of the cakes that we have recently made. We also have pictures of cakes on three different computers so, it will take us a bit to get them all added. We do have a couple of cakes coming up here in the next few weeks that we are really excited for!

We hope you all are having a great summer so far and are staying nice and cool in our hot weather. :) Again, please let us know if there are any cakes, cupcakes or fun decorations that you are interested in. Thanks!!

Happy Birthday

I apologize for the picture being turned sideways, I am uploading it from my phone. Anyways, this cake was a surprise for our friend Olivia. She is moving to San Diego for school so, the cake is doubling as a birthday and a going away cake. It was the first time we made a zebra type decoration. We were really happy with the way the cake tuned out!

Fabulous.

This cake was made for my sister-in-law. We wanted to incorporated her love for wine into this cake. We made the grapes, leaves and bottle out of fondant. The cake is a white cake, since that is her favorite and then frosted with chocolate butter cream. It was a hit with the family and her loved it!

More birthdays

This cake was made for our good friends Matt and Val. Their son, Jackson was turning 1. His party was a baseball theme, so of course he had a baseball field and his own baseball to tear apart. We had a great time making this cake and we know Jackson loved it too

PacMan

These cupcakes were for an 80's party. We had a lot of fun making them. Brought back good memories!

Birthday Cake

This is a birthday cake that we worked on for Bradene and her cousin Ryan. It was really fun to make this cake, since we were able to use ice cream cones as our trees. The theme for the cake was a golf course, as the kids have recently picked up golf and are working their way to become avid golfers.

Summer Cakes

Our first Dr. Seuss/Cat in the Hat cake. This cake was requested by a family friend for a baby shower. It was so much fun to make this cake and add all the different elements of Dr. Seuss. The bottom portion of the cake is frosted with butter cream and decorated with fondant decorations, clouds, trees, onesies and socks. The top portion is completely covered with red and white fondant that we rolled together to get the famous "Hat" just right.

This cake was made for This Century. We chose to make it as a surprise for the band and they are officially signed with Warner Brothers Records under their Action Theory label. The band is currently on tour with The Maine for the summer. Good luck guys!

Just starting out...

Hello family and friends,

We have finally decided to set up a blog about the custom cakes and cupcakes that Bradene and I have been making over the past few years. We have worked with great people and have helped them create the perfect cake or cupcakes for their special event.

Many of our friends and family have been asking up to set up a blog or a website so that they may be able to see what type of cakes we have done. We have worked on anything from birthdays to holidays to record signings. We really enjoy creating something that will be enjoyed by all and makes the event or occasion that much more memorable.

Please take a look at some of the projects that we have worked on and let us know if you would be interested in us making a special cake or cupcakes for an upcoming event.

Thank you all!!
xoxo
